After deciding late that he wanted a career in sports journalism, Daniel worked his way up the ladder in an unconventional manner.
Having opted against university, Daniel worked with Sky Sports as a freelance contributor and translator during transfer windows while also volunteering on several other blog pages and outlets to get a portfolio of content together.
Daniel then worked with Barnet FC as part of their social media team before starting his own website, which focused on football and MMA content.
That eventually led to work with 90min and Reach PLC with The Mirror, Daily Record, Daily Express, and Manchester Evening News.
Following that, Daniel spent two-and-a-half years with Breaking Media covering Everton, Rangers, Leeds, West Ham and other clubs before joining GiveMeSport as a Premier League editor.
As well as football, Daniel is a huge MMA fan and has appeared on YouTube and podcast content too.

Alan Shearer has blasted his beloved Newcastle United after what he saw during their 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa this weekend.
The Magpies fell to a third defeat in four games in the Premier League at St James' Park on Saturday evening after Johan Manzambi headed in the only goal of the game in the first half for Unai Emery's side.
The defeat left Matthias Jaissle with three losses in his first six games in charge in the top flight, with Newcastle now sitting 11th in the table with a -4 goal difference.
The performance came on the back of a 4-1 thumping at the hands of newly-promoted Coventry City on Monday night at the CBS Arena, in a game which saw the players and manager receive major criticism from fans and media.
"Oh my goodness, Newcastle was so bad," he said.
"Because I look at their performance against Coventry. It was terrible, and I'm thinking, what response have we got at home? St James's Park against Villa, and there was nothing. They didn't create. They had one shot on target, which was Botman, [which was] in the second half. And other than that, no creativity, no one with that killer pass.
"We were just, we were terrible. We were really, really bad.
"There was just no there was no response from that really poor performance at Coventry. I was expecting a lot more, and they were really weak, tepid.
"There was nothing to their performance at all. Like you'd come away and think, oh, we did all right there. They were terrible."
Newcastle underwent a major summer of change during the off-season, with all of Bruno Guimaraes, Anthony Gordon, Sandro Tonali and Eddie Howe leaving, while Kieran Trippier's contract was allowed to expire.
Jaissle was brought in with the idea of freshening things up, but the signings that were made were mainly young players with lots of potential, rather than ready-made replacements for those stars, and it's obvious to see on the pitch.
The German boss wants to play 'vertical football', and is adamant he can make it work. But with the team so fragile, results not going his way, and the squad not as strong as it probably needs to be, he must consider making changes to at least stem the flow and settle the tide before going again.
Should he continue with poor results and performances, there's every chance he won't be given the opportunity to turn things around and see his vision through until the end.
