Earlier today, Rey Mysterio broke the news on his appearance on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story that this year would see the return of the Traditional Survivor Series tag team match.
Rey announced that the match will pit Team USA against Team Mexico, with no members yet to be announced for either team.
As the show draws closer, here are some names we could see join Team USA at Survivor Series.
When it comes to repping the Red, White and Blue in WWE, nobody is doing that right now more than the American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes.
With his rivalry with Randy Orton set to wrap up at Crown Jewel, Cody doesn’t have an obvious match in store for Survivor Series, and WWE would likely want him to feature on the show.
Cody would make for the perfect captain of Team USA at Survivor Series.
After losing his Intercontinental Championship to Ethan Page on this week’s WWE Raw show, Chad Gable’s stocks remain high in the company right now.
Coming off an incredible run as Intercontinental Champion, which also saw him score a win over CM Punk at a live event, fans are eagerly awaiting to see what is next for Gable, hoping he can finally be elevated further up the card.
Being an Olympian himself, Gable would also make for a very fitting member of Team USA at Survivor Series, with the match also likely set to feature many of his great challengers from his title run.
Currently reigning as United States Champion, Trick Williams is among WWE’s rising stars looking to break out in 2027.
The Traditional Survivor Series matches have served as a way to elevate names in the past, which could be used to boost Trick’s stock this year.
Another young WWE star that is looking to break out soon, Bron Breakker has had a very rough 2026.
With him potentially set to lose the World Tag Team Championship at Crown Jewel, Survivor Series would make for the perfect place to reignite Breakker for a potential singles run in 2027.
