We are almost a quarter of the way through the season, with every Premier League club having played nine matches.
Based on the results, Opta run thousands of simulations to determine where each of the 20 top-flight teams could finish in May.
Fans will be keen to find out where their club could end up in the final standings when the campaign is over.
Press the next page as we go through Opta’s predicted final table for the 2026/27 Premier League season…
The Black Cats’ defeat to Coventry means that Regis Le Bris’s side remain rock bottom of the table. Opta believe that they now have close to a 50/50% chance of being relegated.
In contrast, the win for Coventry has reduced their probability of going straight back down to 37.15%, although they are still expected to be one of the three teams to lose their top-flight status.
Crystal Palace head coach Pierre Sage, meanwhile, is under increasing pressure following another loss to Tottenham on Saturday.
For the first time this season, Opta is not backing Fulham to be relegated. The draw against Aston Villa last weekend, off the back of two victories, has improved the mood around Craven Cottage.
Hull City and Ipswich Town played out a 2-2 draw on Saturday, and both are tipped to finish just below mid-table as things stand.
Forest’s latest defeat to Brentford has prompted Oliver Glasner to make some strong statements about his team and his future. It looks like the Austrian will be making some changes on the training ground over the next few days.
Manchester United are still not being tipped for relegation by Opta, despite only sitting above the bottom three on goal difference in the actual table. The Red Devils face Villa this weekend, and many believe it will be Michael Carrick’s last game in charge.
Leeds’ defeat to Bournemouth has seen them drop into the bottom half, both in Opta’s predictions and the actual current standings.
Everton and Newcastle are tipped to finish the season in similar spots, despite the former having secured an impressive victory at St James’ Park on Monday evening.
Spurs’ continued improvement has seen them move into the top half of the Premier League table. They were, though, somewhat fortunate that Palace had a man sent off early on last weekend.
Brentford and Bournemouth both recorded impressive wins over Nottingham Forest and Leeds respectively, and the two teams could be in the mix for European qualification.
Despite drawing against Fulham, Aston Villa’s improved form has seen them get back into contention for a top 6 finish.
It was a great weekend for the reigning champions. They won at Anfield for the first time in 14 years, having seen their main title rivals lose to Brighton at home the day before.
Opta currently rate the Gunners’ chances of winning the title at 70.81%, in stark contrast to Manchester City’s 17.13%.
Chelsea got back to winning ways after beating a hapless Manchester United at home. They are currently set for a top 5 finish, along with Liverpool and Brighton.
