Tottenham Hotspur supporters will need to update their weekend calendars. The upcoming Premier League 2 away clash against Middlesbrough has been rescheduled. Originally pencilled in for Monday 26 October, the fixture will now take place a day earlier on Sunday 25 October. The match gets underway with a 12.30 pm kick off at Boro’s Rockliffe Park training centre in North Yorkshire.

The Under 21a squad heads into this northern test riding high domestically. They recently surged to the very top of the Premier League 2 standings, fueled by a brilliant double from Damola Olusesi in their latest league victory. Their form shows how well the squad has been clicking over the past month as they look to build a serious title challenge.

Now the players are eager to shake off some recent cup frustration. The team suffered late agony against senior League Two opposition in the EFL Trophy. This led them to a thrilling 2-2 draw away at Cheltenham Town before losing 7-6 in a marathon penalty shootout. Despite the bitter conclusion to that midweek cup tie, matching an experienced Cheltenham side blow for blow proved to be a massive learning experience for the emerging prospects.

Bouncing Back In League Action

Attention shifts fully to maintaining their grip on the top spot in Premier League 2. Rockliffe Park always presents a unique challenge, as the Middlesbrough academy consistently produces highly physical and tactically disciplined youth teams. The rescheduled Sunday afternoon kick off gives Tottenham a chance to set the pace for the rest of the league weekend. And wash away the disappointment of the Cheltenham result.

Fans tracking the next generation of club talent should make a note of the new Sunday lunchtime slot. Securing three points on the road would make the perfect response to the cup exit. Their impressive league momentum is rolling into the winter months.
