Oxford United player ratings in League One win over Wigan

Michal Helik's first goal in seven months put Aaron Ramsey's side ahead at the Kassam Stadium.

Christian Saydee's stunning equaliser brought nerves to OX4, but a red card for Fraser Murray paved the way for Kai Andrews to score the winner.

Here is how we rated the Yellows against the Tics...

Jamie Cumming - 5

Beaten at his near post from range and one mistake which he survived after giving the ball away to an attacker.

Still feels shaky after returning from injury.

Brodie Spencer - 7

Brilliantly got up and down, causing issues, winning a foul in a good area and seeing a shot blocked.

Some good runs and four progressive carries.

Michal Helik - 8

A brilliant instinctive finish for his first goal of the season.

Was clever with his shorter passes to navigate the Wigan press and a huge block in the second half.

Ciaron Brown - 7

Used his body really cleverly to shield the ball and win a couple of fouls.

His smart positioning meant he was comfortable all evening; a Rolls Royce figure at the back.

Jack Currie - 6.5

A good option when overlapping Siriki Dembele.

Unfortunately, did not find much joy with his crosses, but proved a nuisance with one good dart into the box later on.

Cameron Brannagan - 6

Wanted to test the goalkeeper but four of his five shots were wayward with a threatening one saved.

Pass accuracy was strong (94 per cent) and was a good focal point in the midfield.

Kai Andrews - 8

Only Spencer won more duels than Andrews' 10 and he had the most successful dribbles of both sides with three.

A brilliant box-to-box performance and a lovely finish for his first goal in yellow.

Tyler Goodrham (Emakhu 64') - 6.5

A lovely ball in for Helik's goal and was more involved yesterday evening despite Wigan proving a tough lock to pick.

Mo Missanga (Lynch 64') - 6

Not as many one-on-ones for Missanga to show his skill and directness against the Tics, but worked fairly well with Spencer and Goodrham over on the right.

Mark Harris (Snowden 90+3') - 5.5

Pressed well in the early stages and got in good areas but was restricted for space with his shots.

Gave away four fouls and was booked - seemed quite frustrated did the Welshman.

Siriki Dembele (Sibley 84') - 7

Ran into a few walls early doors but began to threaten when drifting inside, grabbing the assist for Andrews' winner.

Went close with his four efforts from pretty much all the same area.

Substitutes:

Luka Lynch (64') - 6

Aidomo Emakhu (64') - 7

Some rust with his finishing but was incredibly threatening off the bench.

Five dangerous efforts in a 26-minute cameo on his return from injury.
