The ATP Tour is coming towards the tail end of its Asian swing with the Almaty Open (ATP 250) taking place this week. The men will then return to Europe for the build-up to the Paris Masters.

Meanwhile, the WTA Tour continues in Ningbo, China with a WTA 500 event this week and will remain in Asia until the WTA Finals at Indian Wells on November 8.

Emma Raducanu is undecided if she will return to the court this year. It is highly likely the Brit will spend the next three months rehabbing her injury and return in 2027. Mirror Sport brings you all the latest tennis news...

Raducanu misery continues

Raducanu's slide down the WTA rankings continued this week. The 23-year-old has fallen to No. 109 in the standings, down two spots, as she continues to struggle with a stress fracture in her right leg.

However, Raducanu's misery was compounded as she slipped to No. 4 in the British rankings thanks to Sonay Kartal's impressive run to the Wuhan Open final.

Kartal beat the likes of Belinda Bencic, Jasmine Paolini and Elina Svitolina en route to the final, where she lost to Maja Chwalinska in three sets.

Kartal has risen 121 places to No. 49 in the world rankings, becoming the new British No.1 in the process, ahead of Katie Boulter and Fran Jones.

Tennis power couple split up

World No. 6 Elina Svitolina has announced she is divorcing Gael Monfils after five years of being married. The pair have a four-year-old daughter, Skai.

"Skai will always come first," Svitolina said. "Our marriage is ending, but our family is not. Please know that there is no one to blame here. There are only two people who loved each other deeply and a story that is changing shape."

She added: "Everyone knows how much Ukraine means to me. What I have rarely spoken about is what the war has done to me inside. With time, I came to understand that I need to find my way back to myself and that I cannot do that within our marriage."
