Harry Kane’s Ballon d’Or win on Monday is being widely-celebrated in the football world, as seemingly only runners-up Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal are disappointed in the outcome.
Even they likely understand, as Kane is one of the good guys in the game.
Those who don’t like Kane or his clubs would’ve found their hearts warmed by his acceptance speech, as he went deep into his history to thank friends, family, and teammates.
Dele Alli sent Instagram stories exclaiming “Deserved!” and “Proud of you brother” atop photos of Kane. Ismael Saibari issued congratulations on IG as well.
Here’s how the soccer world reacted to Kane’s win, from the heartfelt to the hilarious.
A legacy built in the Spurs academy.

Amid the egos that can go out of control with the Ballon D’Or, Kane is a good, diligent, hard-working - and exceptionally talented - professional.

Actually feels a bit of a winner from another era, in a good way.
