Another international break, potential 9 points and much more: Everything that could happen at Chelsea this month

Another month has come and gone, with Chelsea starting and finishing October on a positive note.

November brings a similar schedule, with a two-week international break followed by a run of challenging but winnable fixtures. There is plenty for the Blues to look forward to, so let's take a look at what supporters can expect from Chelsea in the month ahead.

Another international break

The international break will see European nations complete their Nations League schedule, with two fixtures taking place during the window. One of the biggest matches will see England travel to face Spain, which is likely to be a major talking point. There will also be several international friendlies, meaning Chelsea players born outside Europe could be travelling long distances to represent their countries.

As always, there will be plenty of interest in Chelsea's international selections. Cole Palmer is likely to be one of the main talking points, with questions surrounding whether he will be included in the England squad. Given his withdrawal last time around, his potential absence could be a significant talking point ahead of the announcement.

Potential nine points

November also presents Chelsea with a real opportunity to collect a valuable nine points from their three Premier League fixtures. The Blues travel to face Sunderland first, with the bottom side offering a chance to build on their recent victory.

Leeds United are next at Stamford Bridge, which could prove a tougher test, although Chelsea have a good record against them and will be confident of taking all three points. Control DCL and hurt their strong defence then Chelsea have a chance.

The month then ends with an away trip to Nottingham Forest, who are struggling near the bottom of the table and have found goals hard to come by, coincidence that Lima Delap is their striker.

None of these fixtures should be taken lightly, but they are certainly winnable games. If Chelsea can maintain the momentum from their victory over Manchester United, there is a genuine opportunity to take maximum points and put themselves in a strong position heading into December.

Momentum swing for tough December

A strong November could give Chelsea exactly the momentum they need heading into December, traditionally one of the busiest periods of the season. Collecting maximum points from these fixtures would build confidence, strengthen their league position and give Alonso's side a platform to carry their good form into the festive schedule.

More Estevao

November could also provide another opportunity for Estevao to establish himself in Chelsea's starting XI. After impressing against Manchester United, the Brazilian has given Alonso plenty to think about when selecting his attacking options.

With several fixtures ahead, supporters will be hoping to see more of the youngster and, more importantly, see him given the minutes needed to build on his promising performances.
