Tour O The Borders, a closed-road sportive through the Borders, will take place on Sunday, September 5, 2027. It will now be organised by Borders-based Durty Events.
Paul McGreal, founder of Durty Events, said: "We’re absolutely delighted to be taking Tour O The Borders into the Durty Events family.
"It’s a brilliant event, in a brilliant part of the country, and it feels like a natural fit for us. Neil (Dalgleish) and the team at Hillside Outside have built something really special.
"Our job isn’t to change Touro for the sake of change.
"We want to build on what already works, give riders the same great experience they’ve come to expect, and use our experience, energy and reach to help the event go from strength to strength."
McGreal highlighted the added excitement of 2027, with the Tour de France coming to Scotland and shining a spotlight on the region as a top cycling destination.
He said: "With the Tour de France coming to Scotland, Touro riders will be able to experience some of the spectacular landscapes and roads around the wider Tour route, alongside some of the finest cycling roads anywhere in the country.
"From the Devil’s Beeftub and Moffat Dale to Talla and the Megget traverse, this is a genuinely special part of the world to ride a bike.
"We can’t wait to welcome riders to Peebles and make Touro 2027 a huge celebration of cycling in the Scottish Borders."
Affectionately known as "Le Touro," the event offers two route options—88km and 120km—both starting and finishing in Peebles.
Early bird entry is priced at £74 until January 31, 2027, with standard entry rising to £84 thereafter. Registration opens on Monday, November 2, at noon. Visit https://tourotheborders.com/
