Cardiff came from 15 points behind to earn a dramatic 32-29 victory over Ebbw Vale and move to the top of the Super Rygbi Cymru Trophy table.

Ryan Jenkins scored a hat-trick for the visitors, with Thomas Howard adding seven points from the tee as the away side raced into a 22-7 lead.

Dewi Cross, Ethan Coombes, Alfie Prygodzicz, Ben Fry and Joe Goodchild all crossed the whitewash for the hosts, although Ebbw Vale made it a level game with a Jonathan Evans try.

But Rhys Cummings kicked a last-gasp penalty as the capital side clinched an incredible comeback win, with the Gwent side having to settle for two losing bonus points.

Rygbi Gogledd Cymru (RGC) made it back-to-back wins with an emphatic 49-19 victory over strugglers Pontypool in north Wales.

The hosts ran in seven tries - with Sam Jones scoring a brace and Gareth Parry, Dion Jones, Delwyn Jones, Osian Burt and Tudur Jones all touching down to seal third win of the campaign and rise to fifth.

Llandovery came from behind to earn a fourth success of the season, beating bottom side Aberavon 27-17.

On Friday night, Newport held on for a hard-fought 21-19 win at Carmarthen Quins.

Joe Salter, Joshua Skinner and Gethyn Cannon all touched down for the visitors, who saw Llew O'Brien add three conversions.

Lewys Mellin, Lewis Morgan and Thomas Williams scored tries for the hosts, although a missed conversion proved crucial as they suffered a narrow defeat.

Elsewhere, Swansea sealed back-to-back wins as they earned an impressive 32-19 bonus-point victory over Bridgend at St Helen's.
