Manchester City boss Enzo Maresca faces a balancing act for tonight's Champions League tie with RB Leipzig as he juggles his squad.
The Blues are coming towards the end of a hectic period that has seen them play nine times in a little over a month in between international breaks.
Tonight's European clash and the weekend Premier League trip to Nottingham Forest are the final two matches before domestic football takes a break for Nations League fixtures and Maresca has some big decisions to make for the trip to Germany.
Chief among them will be the makeup of the midfield. Maresca could stick with the central trio he utilised against Brighton on Saturday with Ayyoub Bouaddi given another start alongside Elliot Anderson and Enzo Fernandez playing further forward.
That would leave no space for Rayan Cherki in his favoured No.10 role and the France international might once again have to settle for a spot on the bench with Phil Foden on the right and Jeremy Doku starting on the opposite flank. Erling Haaland will lead the line up front.
Maresca must also weigh up the make-up of his back four with individual errors from Gianluigi Donnarumma, Marc Guehi and Matheus Nunes contributing to defeats against Aston Villa and Brighton in the past two Premier League fixtures.
Despite those errors, all three could start in Germany with captain Ruben Dias and former Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol making up the XI, although the latter will be under pressure from Nico O'Reilly given the Croatia international's indifferent form of late.
