FC Bracknell held to a draw by Langley Youth SLK U23s

They went into the game with five wins and a draw, while their opponents had lost all of their previous five matches.

When they met the league's newcomers at Kedermister Park earlier in the month, Bracknell cruised to a 6-0 win, and they travelled to the Slough ground expecting to complete a double.

It all looked to be going to form when Bracken-Kenny Sharp produced a smart finish to put them ahead, but FCB couldn't add any further goals, and Langley, who looked to be fielding a stronger side than usual, netted the equaliser to secure their first point of the season.

FCB remain second in the Premier Division table, two points behind Old Windsor, who slammed Sandhurst Royals 6-3 on Saturday, with Owen Elliot, Bobby Moore and Liam Quinn on target for Royals.

This coming Saturday, FCB are scheduled to host fellow unbeaten side Slough Heating Laurencians in the League Cup, while Bracknell Hibs are home to RedKore and Prospect take on Sandhurst Royals.

* In the Thames Valley Premier League, Newbury made it 10 wins out of 10 following two big wins in the past week. Last Wednesday, they thumped Reading YMCA 7-0 with Rocco Sofroniou netting a hat-trick. McKoy Palmer bagged a first-half brace, with Harrison Luffrum and Stan Jefferies each adding a goal.

Then on Saturday, Devonn Reid's men eased home 5-0 against Holyport Reserves at Faraday Road after leading 4-0 at half-time.

They moved up to second place in the Premier Division standings, one point behind Yateley Reserves with two games in hand.

Wargrave remain third after a 2-0 win over Burghfield, with Finlay Coleman and Dan Townson on target.

Finchampstead moved into fourth after defeating Tadley Calleva Reserves 2-0, with goals from Connor Gonzalez and substitute Aqeel Butt.

AFC Winkfield drew 1-1 at Cookham Dean, whose scorer was Jason Evans, and that was also the scoreline in Westwood Wanderers' game with Henley Town at Denefield School.

In Division One Reserves, Winkfield beat Marlow Reserves 4-3 following strikes by Matt Panton (2), Ian Edwards and Benn Jeffries.

Binfield lost 6-2 at the Kings Academy ground to Newbury Development after an Alfie Heaver brace had seen them go in level at half-time. Matt Bustin, with three goals, and Tony Wilkin, with a brace, featured in a strong second-half performance by the visitors.

Maidenhead Town thrashed Reading City Youth 7-0 with goals from Craig Slattery (2), Ben Bedford (2), Robbie Basden, Joe Milligan and James Rattenbury.

Joel Burton bagged a hat-trick as Reading YMCA Rapids beat Harchester Hawks 4-1 in the Berks & Bucks' David Grainge Saturday Junior Cup. Jhamal Robinson netted the other goal.

Weather permitting, this coming Saturday's Premier Division fixtures are: Winkfield v Newbury, Burghfield v Tadley Reserves, Chalfont SP v Woodcote, Finchampstead v Cookham Dean, Goring v Henley, Holyport v Reading City, Westwood v YMCA and Yateley v Wargrave.

* Bad weather severely restricted last Sunday's fixtures, but it couldn't stop Wokingham Wanderers A from racing to 5-0 over Running Horse at Cantley Park in the Bracknell Sunday League Junior Cup, while Berks United Wolves hammered 3M First 7-2 at Garth Hill School.

In the only Division One match played last weekend, Winnersh Rangers inflicted Bracknell Wanderers' first league defeat of the season by beating them 5-2 at Waingels College,

Division Two saw more action, with Finchampstead Reserves beating Bracknell Royals A 2-0 to make it four wins in a row and ending their opponents' unbeaten start to the season.

Wokolona opened their winning account by defeating Woodley Saints Tigers 2-1, and Berks United Royals drew 1-1 with Bracknell Cavaliers A.

Sandhurst Reds inflicted a 5-2 reverse on Dukes Reserves in Division Three.

Give Back romped to a 7-2 win over Berks County in the Berks & Bucks Sunday Cup, while Tilehurst El Patrons also booked their ticket to the third round with a 2-0 win over Woodley Saints Sharks.
