Leandro Trossard makes Celtic claim after Besiktas defeat

The former Arsenal winger felt the Turkish side were the better team for much of the contest but admitted “a bit of chaos” proved costly as Celtic fought back to claim their first win of the league phase.

Speaking to TNT Sports, he said: “We controlled the first half especially, we were the better team. Then we made a mistake in the second half, we gave the goals away too easily, I think. Then it was a bit of chaos for us.

“We need to be better because I think in general we played better than them, but we need to take our chances as well.

“Lately it’s been too many times for us where we’re not sharp enough on counterattacks. Then on this level you get punished, exactly today, that’s what happened again.

“It’s a shame we didn’t take at least one point today because I think we deserved it.”

Camilo Duran struck twice after coming off the bench, while fellow substitute Callum Osmand was also on target as Celtic secured a dramatic victory.
