After deciding late that he wanted a career in sports journalism, Daniel worked his way up the ladder in an unconventional manner.
Having opted against university, Daniel worked with Sky Sports as a freelance contributor and translator during transfer windows while also volunteering on several other blog pages and outlets to get a portfolio of content together.
Daniel then worked with Barnet FC as part of their social media team before starting his own website, which focused on football and MMA content.
That eventually led to work with 90min and Reach PLC with The Mirror, Daily Record, Daily Express, and Manchester Evening News.
Following that, Daniel spent two-and-a-half years with Breaking Media covering Everton, Rangers, Leeds, West Ham and other clubs before joining GiveMeSport as a Premier League editor.
As well as football, Daniel is a huge MMA fan and has appeared on YouTube and podcast content too.

Liverpool have had a decent start to life under Andoni Iraola so far, with just one defeat in their first ten games of the season.
The Reds claimed a 2-1 win over high-flying Brentford this past weekend to move up to 5th in the Premier League table, following on from their 6-3 win over LASK Linz in the Champions League to maintain their 100% record in the competition.
But it's clear that Liverpool's squad is too thin at this stage to realistically be able to compete on all fronts throughout the season, with Iraola being forced to deal with a number of injuries and suspension issues that are limiting his options.
Midfield has been a particular area of concern for the Spaniard this season. The club opted against bringing in a new midfield signing during the transfer window, despite being heavily linked with a number of names.
Ryan Gravenberch has struggled for form, and his best performance so far ended in a red card against Man City recently. Dominik Szoboszlai has moved into a deeper role this season, but the Hungary international has been dealing with injuries and once again limped off with a hamstring problem against Brentford, and Wataru Endo is yet to feature at all this season.
That has left Alexis Mac Allister and Trey Nyoni as the only senior options in the position, which has seen the club linked with a move to bring in a top star in January to ensure they aren't light all year.

GIVEMESPORT sources understand that Bournemouth star Alex Scott is being looked at as a target, with the Cherries opening the door to a potential transfer in January after recent talks, while Monaco star Lamine Camara is also on their radar after his collapsed move to Chelsea in the summer.
But a fresh report has now linked the Merseyside club with a move to sign Borussia Dortmund star Felix Nmecha as an alternative, and they are reportedly 'ready' to make a move for the £75m-rated Germany international.
Nmecha is understood to be open to a return to England, having spent time in the Man City youth academy as a youngster, and he would be a perfect addition to the side for the way Iraola wants to play.
The 26-year-old impressed during the World Cup with Germany, despite the team's early exit, and as a result Borussia Dortmund aren't going to let him go easily. Former Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann was full of praise for Nmecha too, calling him 'one of the best in the world'.
"He’s a top player who brings everything you need to be one of the best midfielders in the world. He has so much talent, so much speed, so much dynamism."
With his big physical profile, his running power, and his technical qualities, he's the type of midfielder who Iraola will love to have in his system, and based on the form of this season, he would be a major upgrade on Gravenberch too.
If Scott is a deal that can't be done, and it does seem as though Chelsea are leading the race currently, then Nmecha should be right at the top of the wishlist.
