The ICC labelled the first edition of the T20 World Cup, in 2007, the World T20. In fact, the words “World Cup” was not associated with the tournament until the 2020s.

The women’s edition was introduced in 2009, and was played alongside the men’s edition, sometimes at the same venues. That changed from 2018, when the women had their standalone tournament.

Until 2026 (a year when both versions would be played), 26 teams have appeared (or are scheduled to appear) at the T20 World Cup – some in both versions, some in one. Can you name every team in four minutes?
