Due to wet weather at the Phillip Island circuit, the Australian Moto2 and Moto3 races had to be cancelled. The competition has also set a new provisional time for the MotoGP pit lane to open later today.

Before the MotoGP Australian Grand Prix moves to the Adelaide Street Circuit, it will take place for the final time at the fan-favourite Phillip Island track.

Due to poor visibility affecting the operation of the medical helicopter, there has been no racing so far today. The MotoGP race has also been delayed. The provisional time for the pit lane to open has been set at 16:00 local time (05:00 UK time).

Moto2 and Moto3 races cancelled

The competition has announced that the Moto2 and Moto3 race will be cancelled.

Having the Moto3 race cancelled has little impact on the title battle, as CFMOTO Aspar rider Maximo Quiles had already secured the championship at the Indonesian Grand Prix.

In Moto2, only 5.5 points separate Manuel Gonzalez and Izan Guevara. Gonzalez was set to start from pole position, while the Pramac Racing rider qualified sixth.
