Some final words from Cody Gakpo on the Champions League tournament and whether it suits Liverpool more than the Premier League: "I think it depends how you look at it, if you look at both leagues, we scored a good amount of goals. Champions League is special. I don't want to say this league suits us more than the Premier League obviously."
On team options: "We can see a lot of potential, I think everybody has showed it already individually. We have to know each other very well. I think from that moment on it can only be better than it is now."
On what he expects from the stadium: "Very hostile and great environment. The environment was massive. I'm looking forward to it and hopefully it will be a good atmosphere."
Michael Carrick accepted it might sound "crazy" but the Manchester United boss is looking forward to tonight's Champions League meeting with Roma at Old Trafford.
United go into Tuesday's game without a win in nine matches in all competitions, their worst run since 1988-89.
They have not gone 10 games without a win in a single campaign since 1977-78, and there is a growing feeling Carrick will lose his job during the forthcoming international break.
"You might think I'm crazy with the results we've had and what's going on, but genuinely, I really can't wait for the game," said Carrick.
"I'm really looking forward to it. I can't look into the future, you never know what's going to happen.
"That doesn't change the way I feel. Whatever happens is going to happen in whatever direction it goes in, but we want to make it a big night tomorrow."
The Champions League had a week off last week.
In the previous round of fixtures, Manchester United's woes continued as Michael Carrick's side suffered a humiliating 4-1 loss at Como.
Liverpool won a seven-goal thriller against Villarreal, while Manchester City thumped AEK Athens 5-1.
Aston Villa defeated Viking 3-1, and Arsenal earned a 2-2 draw at Bayern Munich.
