Former AEW star Max Caster will be stepping away from the squared circle for the foreseeable future, one week after dropping his controversial freestyle rap promo at TNA Bound for Glory in Tampa, Florida.

Appearing at Awesome Championship Wrestling's (ACW) "Mischief Night II" on Saturday, Caster thanked the fans for their unwavering support during this rather difficult time. That said, the former AEW World Tag Team and Trios Champion then broke the news that he'll be taking an indefinite hiatus from the wrestling business to go to therapy and rebuild his life: "I don't know what my next move is. I don't know where I'll be, but I will be stepping away from the ring for an extended period of time. I'm gonna go home, I'm gonna go to therapy. I'm gonna get it right so that the next time I'm in the ring, it feels like I'm at home." His full statement can be seen below.

Last Sunday, Caster appeared at Bound for Glory, answering Moose's open challenge contest. During his promo, Caster rapped about the recent missile attacks that occurred at the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. TNA management, specifically its President Carlos Silva, made the immediate decision to terminate Caster and his pay per appearance deal. Two days later, Caster issued a public apology, which he published across his social media platforms.
