Glenn Murray has called out Liam Delap for his latest disappointing performance for Nottingham Forest, this time against Ipswich Town.
Nottingham Forest played really well against Ipswich Town, ultimately just failing to convert this into a win, again. Forest had some standout performances and deserved three points, only to be denied by individual error.
Liam Delap was a huge concern for his performance, committing more fouls (3) than he had shots on target (0) at Portman Road, which means his record now stands at just one goal in seven, and that was a long-range strike, meaning he has missed every proper chance handed to him.

What have YOU made about Liam Delap's start to life at Nottingham Forest?! BIG things were expected…
After the game, Glenn Murray was on punditry duty for Premier League Productions, and in his review of the match, he couldn’t help but criticise Delap for his performance.
“Do you know what? I don’t like this (from Delap) at all. It’s unconfident. This chance (on the highlights), he doesn’t really get it out of his feet. Very snatchy.
“Listen, I think some of his buildup play was good. Again, we said it was one of those nights tonight. It was very workmanlike. I think he was involved in a lot of chances at the creation of a lot of chances.
“He will fight and scrap for you, but it wasn’t vintage by any means. The big disappointment is that he didn’t hit the target with any of his three big chances.”
Forest are top on expected points this season, with poor finishing from Delap, Dan Ndoye, and Morgan Gibbs-White arguably the biggest problem that has been had by Forest, as with better finishing, there is no way Glasner’s side would be so low in the table.
Delap in particular is a concern, as Murray points out.
Delap is very much a player who thrives on confidence, and over the past four games, we have seen him get worse and worse, as his confidence has dropped.
Delap has only managed to get three of his 18 shots on target this season, let alone score more than his one goal, and the longer he goes without one, the more desperate he will get.
On his day, he has all the tools to be a top-level striker, but right now, he just hasn’t figured out how to put it all together and get a run going, really, ever since he left Ipswich Town.
Glasner needs to figure out a way to get more bodies around him, get him more chances in the box, and restore his confidence, which will be the toughest job of all.
