France are considering a bid to host the 2026-2027 UEFA Nations League Final Four, French FA president Philippe Diallo has revealed to Ouest-France. For their bid to go through, Zinédine Zidane’s Les Bleus must first qualify for the competition’s semi-finals. So far, they’re on course with three wins and one draw in their four opening games against Türkiye, Belgium and Italy. Next month, France cap their Nations League group stage with an away game against Italy, and a home tie against Türkiye.

Should they overcome their opponents in two-legged quarter-finals in March, France would qualify for Final Four, and the latter could be held on home soil. “France are bidding to host the Nations League Final Four next June, should they qualify“, Diallo said to Ouest-France. The games would be played from June 9 to June 13. As for the grounds poised to host the four games – two semi-finals, a Bronze final and the final – the outlet understands that Saint-Etienne’s Stade Geoffroy-Guichard and Lyon’s Groupama Stadium would be elected.

Should UEFA pick France to host the Nations League Final Four, it would be the first time the confederation trusts France for the organisation of a major continental event since the disastrous 2022 Champions League final held at Saint-Denis’ Stade de France.
