Terry Bradshaw weighs in on Troy Aikman and Joe Buck's bitter feud tearing apart ESPN booth before Super Bowl - 'I find that hard to believe'

Fox star Terry Bradshaw has weighed in on the high-profile feud tearing apart their rivals, ESPN, involving two of his good friends, Joe Buck and Troy Aikman.

ESPN will host the Super Bowl for the first time on February 14 with Buck and Aikman in the booth for the big game since they called Super Bowl LIV for Fox in 2020.

The pair signed multi-year deals with ESPN together in 2022 with all roads leading to this year's Super Bowl assignment.

But after Buck signed a new big-money contract before Aikman's future was resolved, the pair have become embroiled in a bitter dispute.

The longest-running duo in NFL announcing, in their 25th season together, reportedly had a heated argument before a Monday Night Football game in Los Angeles last month.

Since then, fans believe they have spotted iciness between the pair visible in the booth, while a bombshell report recently shed light on the details behind the disagreement.

Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Bradshaw is a close friend of both having worked with them for years at Fox, where he remains a regular on the Fox NFL Sunday studio show.

And he shared his own insight into the feud, admitting he has spoken to Joe Buck and finds it 'hard to believe' money is really at the heart of their rift.

Asked about the situation on the Brian Kilmeade Show on Fox News, Bradshaw said: 'I have talked to Buck via text and told him I don't assume everything I'm reading is correct, and I know Troy Aikman well, they're both really good friends of mine.

'I don't understand, because Troy has a big contract now, and Joe Buck got a big contract, and I don't want to believe that it's the money that Buck got that's got Troy upset, because Troy's making big money.

'I have heard that they were going to go into ESPN together and get a new deal together. Joe, evidently, got his before Troy, and that seems to be the rift. It's about money.

'I find that hard to believe because Troy Aikman is not like that. He's not like that. My understanding right now is that things are OK.'

According to The Athletic, Buck's new deal is a six-year, $108 million contract running through at least the 2032 NFL season. It will see his salary rise to $18 million per year, up from $15 million per year in his previous five-year, $75 million contract.

Aikman earns an estimated $18 million to $18.5 million per year as part of his contract signed when he made the move alongside Buck in 2022, ranking both among ESPN's highest-paid staff.

Neither Aikman nor Buck have addressed the reported feud publicly, although the former Cowboys quarterback did acknowledge his uncertain future in a recent interview.

'As I'm into my last year at ESPN, I'm realizing that this is something that could very well be taken away from me,' Aikman told Dallas Cowboys insider and YouTuber Mike Fisher. 'For the first time, I'm realizing how much I really do – I've always enjoyed it. I've always known that. But until you risk having something taken away from you, I think sometimes you tend to maybe take things for granted.

'And so, for the first time probably in my career, I'm realizing, you know, this is a great profession. It's been a great ride for me, and I hope it's not over. Time will tell. But, yeah. So, we'll see. I'm excited about what the rest of this year holds, and I'm excited to finally get back into the booth for a Super Bowl.'
