The Tampa Bay Rays are heading to the World Series!

The Rays defeated the Guardians in Game 6, 7-3 and it came from the usual suspects in Tampa Bay's playoff run. Starting pitcher Freddy Peralta pitched 5.1 innings and only gave up one run. Meanwhile, he was helped on offense by a two-run homerun from Junior Caminero in the 7th inning and a two-run homerun from Yandy Diaz in the 8th inning.

The Rays were in the World Series in 2020, when they lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The organization has never won it all, losing its only other World Series opponent back in 2008. Tampa Bay will take on the Milwaukee Brewers, who have also never won the title.
