On Monday this week Valentino Angeloni received the prestigious "Best Youth Academy Director" award for the 2025/26 season at Scopigno-Pulici Awards ceremony.
This distinguished accolade serves as a testament to the excellent work carried out and the results achieved by the Viola youth academy. It follows a resoundingly successful 2025/26 campaign, in which the highlights were Marco Capparella’s U-18 team winning the Viareggio Cup and Daniele Galloppa’s Primavera side claiming the league title.
Valentino Angeloni has lead Fiorentina’s youth academy since 2020. During this time period, beyond the trophies won last season and in previous years, the institution has distinguished itself by its ability to develop and nurture young talent, helping players climb the rungs of academy football and go on to make their Serie A debuts.
Notable examples of such players include Michael Kayode, Pietro Comuzzo, Tommaso Martinelli, Maat Daniel Caprini, Tommaso Rubino, Eddy Kouadio and Niccolo Fortini. These talents are a clear reflection of the quality and consistency of the club’s development strategy it has fostered in recent years.
