Ja’Marr Chase’s latest touchdown catch brought Cincinnati Bengals receiving royalty into the conversation.

And that's Chad Johnson, who admits his favorite catch belongs to Tee Higgins.

Per Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com, Johnson pointed to Higgins’ late touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings in 2023 when discussing the franchise’s greatest catches.

“The best catch I’ve ever seen,” Johnson said

Higgins caught Jake Browning’s pass near the goal line, then twisted and reached the ball to the pylon. Johnson emphasized the awareness required to finish the play while keeping track of the end zone.

It's a striking endorsement from a receiver whose own career gave Bengals fans multiple candidates for that discussion.

Chase also put forward the latest entry with his 45-yard touchdown against Miami. Additionally, the play moved him past Isaac Curtis into third place on Cincinnati’s career receiving yards list, behind Johnson and A.J. Green.

Johnson watched that catch in person as well.

But for Johnson, Higgins’ twisting touchdown in 2023 is still the one to beat.
