Seattle Seahawks superstar wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba is enjoying a historic start to the 2026 NFL season, as he’s recorded more receiving yards than several NFL teams’ entire wide receiver rooms have produced through the first eight weeks of the year. His remarkable individual production has placed him among the league's most dominant offensive players this season.
According to Pro Football Focus, Smith-Njigba enters Week 9 with 985 receiving yards, putting him ahead of nine teams' combined wide receiver room totals, being the Arizona Cardinals (975), San Francisco 49ers (946), Miami Dolphins (907), Los Angeles Chargers (854), Denver Broncos (853), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (832), Kansas City Chiefs (825), Las Vegas Raiders (803) and Minnesota Vikings (737).
His consistent production has helped establish a significant gap between himself and some of the league's other receiving groups.
Smith-Njigba will have another opportunity to maintain and extend his advantage in Week 9 when the Seahawks take on the Cardinals. With Seattle's star receiver continuing to produce at an elite level, he may widen the gap even further between himself and many, if not all of those teams.
