The Tennessee Titans have released defensive tackle Jordan Elliott following an incident at the team's facility last week. The team announced the decision Tuesday, October 20, releasing the following statement.
Elliott was ruled out of Tennessee's Week 6 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts due to personal reasons on Friday, October 16. The defensive tackle wasn't listed on the injury report before Friday.
Tennessee went on to defeat the Indianapolis Colts without Elliott, securing its first victory of the 2026 season. Elliott signed a two-year deal worth up to $8.5 million with the Titans during the offseason after spending the previous two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers.
The 28-year-old appeared in five games, including one start, recording 11 tackles for Tennessee. The Titans have indicated they will not comment further on the circumstances surrounding Elliott's release as they prepare to host the Cleveland Browns in Week 7.
