Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and current Washington Commanders RB Rachaad White recently appeared on the Hoodie Chroniclez podcast to discuss what he brings to the team, whether he considers himself a dual-threat, and what it meant to catch his first touchdown pass from Tom Brady.
When speaking on the podcast, White was asked what areas he grew the most in during his time with the Buccaneers that have translated to now, and he would say, "When I came into the league with the Bucs, my rushing obviously wasn't the best, I was young and trying to get used to the game and figure everything out. I think rushing has been my greatest growth as far as being a better runner."
When speaking about what it meant to catch his first NFL touchdown pass from a guy like Tom Brady, and how that was a full-circle moment from all of the work that he put in, he said, "Obviously, it was a blessing, all of that was a blessing, you know, dreams come true being drafted there, and it was even more of a blessing getting to play with Tom coming in there as a rookie. I never take it for granted."
So far in his career, White has been a weapon at both NFL stops, logging 724 carries for 2,856 yards and 15 rushing touchdowns. He has also caught 221 passes for 1,538 yards and 13 touchdowns.
The Commanders may look to get White more involved in the offense while dealing with injuries, especially with star wide receiver Terry McLaurin sidelined for the rest of the season. As he mentions in the full interview below, "he does it all and does it well."
