Leeds United are closely monitoring Coventry City midfielder Jack Rudoni, with a view to making a potential move for the player in an upcoming transfer window, according to TEAMtalk.
Rudoni enjoyed an exceptional year for the Sky Blues in their promotion-winning campaign last term, netting seven goals and providing six assists across all competitions. He's started his first season in the Premier League in a similarly rich vein of form, scoring three times already for Frank Lampard's outfit.
Lampard is a huge admirer of the 25-year-old, and likely wouldn't be willing to sanction the player's departure so shortly after reaching the top flight.
However, if Coventry lose their Premier League status at the end of this season, Leeds could be in the driving seat to seal a deal for Rudoni in the summer.
Leeds' interest in Rudoni predates Coventry's promotion to the Premier League. According to TEAMtalk, the Yorkshire club have been tracking the creative midfielder's progress over the past 12 months.
The Whites have closely observed how Rudoni, previously a target for Newcastle United, has developed as he's assumed more responsibility in Lampard's team, sending scouts to the Coventry Building Society Arena to watch the ex-Wimbledon star regularly.
Daniel Farke is eager to add more creativity and goal threat to his midfield either in January or the summer, with the German's side struggling to score the volume of goals that will catapult his team towards a European place.

Leeds have netted just nine goals in their opening nine league fixtures of the new season. Four of these came in one game against Newcastle, meaning they've failed to score more than one goal in all but one of their matches this term.
Clearly, creating chances is an issue for the Whites, and Rudoni could present them with a solution to this problem.
The former Huddersfield Town star, who has been described as being at a Champions League level by Lampard previously, managed 12 assists in the Championship back in the 2024/25 season, and he's continued to show his final-third ingenuity in the Premier League this year.

Leeds' prolonged assessment of Rudoni certainly suggests that they believe he could be the answer to their offensive woes, and their status as a consolidated Premier League club could make Elland Road an attractive place for the player to ply his trade.
Lampard and Coventry will no doubt fight tooth and nail to keep hold of their talisman, but the player's contract expires in 2028, meaning the Sky Blues may be forced to cash in if they can't negotiate a new deal imminently.
Leeds are also weighing up a deal for Galatasaray's Gabriel Sara, who they view as a potential upgrade on Harry Wilson.
