The Congo international was signed by ex-Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers in a £5 million swoop last summer.
But he was a disastrous disappointment in Glasgow and failed to score in his 13 appearances for the Hoops before he was bombed entirely after Martin O'Neill took charge and he moved to Gent on loan in the last transfer window.
He revealed last week he wanted subbed off after just ten minutes of his first Old Firm experience because of the frantic pace of the game.
And he insisted that Celtic wrecked his World Cup dream after they refused a loan deal to the MLS last season.
However, he wouldn't change his big move to Celtic.
He said: "Celtic remains a fantastic club.
"For me, it was a dream transfer, even though it turned out this way.
"I have absolutely no regrets. It is part of my journey.
"In the summer, there was interest from clubs in France and Spain.
"But given my situation, I felt the need to be close to my family.
"So I decided to return to a familiar environment, to really enjoy football again, close to my family and my girlfriend.
"I feel very good and am incredibly happy to be back on the field with a ball at my feet. The feeling is fantastic, it really has been too long."
