A former Proteas seamer and Johannesburg-born batter are among the 11 players voted in by fans after strong seasons in the County Championship.

Kyle Abbott and Ricardo Vasconcelos have been named in the Rothesay County Championship fan team of the season, after a week of polls on the ECB website.

Abbott took 64 wickets for Hampshire, the second-most in Division One. Vasconcelos scored 1,159 runs with six centuries for Northamptonshire and finished top of the Division Two run charts. Northants just missed out on promotion.

Vasconcelos is joined by team-mate Ben Sanderson, who took 58 wickets. The rest of the XI is Ben McKinney and Matthew Potts of Durham, Sam Hain and Ethan Bamber of Warwickshire, Somerset’s Tom Abell, James Rew and Craig Overton, and Surrey’s Dan Lawrence.
