The Oregon Ducks football program has been a pipeline for quarterbacks with Hawaiian ties, most notably with Marcus Mariota, Dillon Gabriel and Dylan Raiola.
They could be in line for another, as 2028 four-star passer Hunter Fujikawa listed Oregon in his top six. The Ducks will have to battle Arizona State, Arizona, UCLA, Stanford and Ole Miss for his talents, as those other programs also made the cut.
Fujikawa is the No. 17 quarterback and No. 237 player overall in the 2028 class, according to 247Sports. He competes for Mililani High School where he's the top-ranked player in the state. This summer, Fujikawa noted that he planned to visit many of these programs for gameday visits.
Standing 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds, Fujikawa has a strong arm and makes good decisions with the football, proving to be a good fit in the Oregon offense. During his debut at Mililani High School, the Hawaii native completed 20-of-34 passes for 273 yards and three touchdowns.
The Ducks may have the upper hand in Fujikawa's recruitment considering there's already a future Duck on his high school team, as 2027 four-star linebacker Toa Satele committed to Oregon in June. The No. 4 linebacker in the nation and top-ranked player in the state in his class, Satele was one of the more significant commitments for Oregon in the 2027 class.
If he follows suit, Fujikawa would be highly touted in Oregon's 2028 class as the Ducks look to further build out their quarterback room.
