Class of 2028 athlete Kamieon Compton-Nero has reportedly set a commitment date for Nov. 13, according to Rivals' Hayes Fawcett. Alabama is in Compton-Nero's top five that he announced in September. Joining the Tide in his top-five is Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and SMU.

Compton-Nero is a 6'3, 187 pound athlete out of Owasso High School in Owasso, Oklahoma.

The 247Sports composite currently ranks him as the No. 43 overall player and No. 2 athlete in the 2028 class, while he also ranks as the No. 62 ranked overall player and the No. 3 ranked athlete according to the On3/Rivals Industry. They both rank him as the top player in the state of Oklahoma.

This season for Owasso as a junior, he currently has 22 tackles and one interception on defense to go along with 45 catches for 421 yards and four touchdowns on offense. Owasso is one of the top teams in the state of Oklahoma and are currently 6-3 this season, with all three losses coming to fellow Oklahoma powers Bixby, Broken Arrow, and Jenks.

Alabama currently has the No. 3 ranked recruiting class in 2028 with five commits, per 247Sports.
