Terry Bradshaw took a humorous jab at his FOX NFL Sunday co-stars over their outfits during a two-hour special live from two United States Armed Forces academies.
Bradshaw put his co-stars , Charles Woodson and Julian Edelman, on the spot over their choice of clothing during the Week 9 episode, insisting they had shown a lack of respect for the West Point cadets. Unlike the two, Bradshaw pointed out, he and Howie Long — who were located at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland — wore ties as a mark of respect. The former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback then called on his colleagues to apologize
"First of all, I'm extremely disappointed in Woody and Julian," Bradshaw told Woodson and Edelman, who were at the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York. "They have no respect for the wonderful people there. Howie and I are wearing ties today out of respect for all the wonderful midshipmen. Really, these are wonderful people. You should apologize to kick off the set."
Long interjected, distancing himself from Bradshaw's comments. "The views of my cohort are not necessarily reflective of my views," he said. In response, Bradshaw groaned, "My turn to talk!" He then turned his attention back to football and backed the Detroit Lions as the best team in the NFC North despite their early-season defense woes.
"Detroit's got the best offense," added the 80-year-old.
"I love their coach. The fact they've already beaten Green Bay and upset, if you want to call it that, the Vikings last week, only proves that the NFC North belongs to them. No question, their defense is coming around. I love their offense. Detroit Lions.
As he concluded, Michael Strahan — who joined Woodson and Edelman in West Point — came to the duo's defense, poking fun at Bradshaw's attire in return. "Well, I gotta say, and I'm not sticking up for my guy," Strahan said. "But very hard listening to a guy wearing suspenders in 2026."
"No, no, no, Michael," Bradshaw fired back. "You have no idea how much these people love my suspenders!"
Strahan then made the case for the Packers as the best team in the NFC. "The Green Bay Packers could be the best team — are the best team — in the NFC. Jordan Love, one name, one guy, leads the league in passing," he said.
"Nobody has more 20-, 25-, or 50-yard completions than Jordan Love, even with receivers who drop a lot of balls. Watson and Golden — best receiving duo in the league. Golden needs to hold on to a few more of those balls. But defensively, they've really stepped it up, too.
"They're second in interceptions, second in takeaways and only four sacks behind the league leaders, the Pittsburgh Steelers. This is a team I think can do it all. No one mentions the Rams or the Seahawks."
In honor of Veterans Day, FOX aired a special two-hour episode featuring the casts of the network's two NFL pregame shows: FOX NFL Kickoff and FOX NFL Sunday.
FOX NFL Sunday host Curt Menefee has previously described the annual Veterans Day broadcast as his favorite show of the season.
"It's easy to be in a place where people are preaching gloom and doom and the other side's miserable," he said.
"But when you get there to visit the service academy and you see all these young people from all around the country and you see the quality and the leadership skills that they have and the way they carry themselves. I mean, it continues your faith in America."
