It was a grand day out on the astroturf for the Clee as they crossed the whitewash an impressive 11 tries.

Scoring two tries each were Emma Price, Emily Edwards, Fern Bayliss and captain for the day Amy Godding.

Meanwhile, Liz Astbury, Emma Walsh and Sal Price scored one try each. Edwards was the top scorer as she added six conversions to her pair of tries.

The only blot on Clee’s copybook was that they conceded a single try at the opposite end.

The Clee Hill forwards dominated the scrum and the breakdown from the outset accompanied by some fierce tackling.

The visitors’ halfbacks distributed the ball well and every player illustrated their ability to beat their opposite number in open play.

Clee have a free weekend before hosting league leaders Telford Hornets Women on November 1.

Tenbury men also scored 11 tries as they prevailed 19-73 during an entertaining afternoon at Alcester.

Ollie Sparey and Callum Spires scored a hat-trick of tries each, while Harley Griffin crossed the try-line twice himself.

Further scorers were Ben Price, Kieran Baldwin and Claude Celton. Tenbury’s points total was boosted by nine conversions from Logan Shepherd.
