On Tuesday, October 20, former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman signed a practice squad contract with the Indianapolis Colts.
Hardman, who was a key member of the Chiefs' Super Bowl LIV, LVII, and LVIII rosters, originally began his career in professional football as a second-round pick of Kansas City in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Indianapolis' decision to sign Hardman comes just a day after the Colts relieved general manager Chris Ballard — a former Chiefs executive — of his duties as general manager.
NFL insider Adam Schefter reported Hardman's signing with Indianapolis in a post to his official Twitter account:
While it is unclear exactly how Hardman will figure into the Colts' game plan in the coming weeks, his signing with Indianapolis is an indication that the former Georgia Bulldog still has plenty to offer as a legitimate threat in the passing game as he plays his eighth season in the NFL.
