The 28-year-old welterweight returns to action this coming December for his second fight in the promotion.

This coming December, the premier promotion is set to return to the Middle East again for UFC Saudi Arabia, which is yet to have its main event confirmed.

Despite recent conflict in the area, Dana White provided an update on UFC Saudi, claiming that he will go ahead with the event, as he is this weekend with UFC 333 which is scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi.

And this Wednesday morning, another matchup was announced for the card with four fights now officially confirmed for the December 5 date.

Islam Dulatov set to return on UFC Saudi Arabia card

On Wednesday, it was reported by Marcel Dorff that welterweight prospect Islam Dulatov is scheduled to return to the Octagon for just the second time, after making his promotional debut last July. Dulatov knocked out Adam Fugitt in the first round to announce himself to the UFC world.

The Russian born star was then scheduled to return this past July at UFC Abu Dhabi, but Dulatov’s fight against Wellington Turman was canceled after he came down with an illness ahead of his fight. At UFC Saudi Arabia, the 28-year-old will take on fellow European prospect, Levan Chokheli, in what will also be Chokheli’s second fight in the UFC.

In his debut, the 30-year-old scored a first round finish over Leon Shahbazyan, and UFC fans called Shahbazyan’s debut the ‘worst ever’ when he was knocked out in just 23 seconds.

Who else will fight at UFC Saudi Arabia?

So far, four fights have been announced including the welterweight matchup between Dulatov and Chokheli. Brazilian stars Bruno Silva and Jafel Filho clash in a flyweight match, with both fighters looking to snap losing streaks. After winning a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series earlier this year, Modestino Rodrigues will take on Matthieu Duclos in a middleweight fight.

Bantamweights Abdul Hussein and Hecher Sosa also clash, with Sosa looking to continue his impressive 12 fight win streak. And although the main event is yet to be announced, rumors suggest that Israel Adesanya will take on Shara Magomedov at middleweight, with the former champion looking to finally snap his four fight losing streak.

Shara ‘Bullet’ unfortunately struggles to get medically cleared to compete in the United States, limiting him to competing on events in the Middle East.
