McGlothan was waived by the Celtics on Saturday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
McGlothan went undrafted in 2024 and has tried to land a spot on an NBA team. While he won't earn a standard or two-way deal with Boston, he's expected to head back to the G League and suit up with the Maine Celtics.
