This is how our writers think United should start.

This must be Carrick's most difficult team selection yet, given the injuries within his team and the difficulty of getting players into their best positions.
I'd be tempted to stick with the same formation as at Leeds, for a couple of reasons. Firstly, De Ligt has to start and in a back three there might be a little less running for him to do with Maguire and Mazraoui near him. That would allow Dalot to continue on the left and Amad on the right.
It would also mean all three of Baleba, Santos and Tielemans can start again, with Tielemans and Fernandes used as a duel No. 10s, behind the in-form Mbeumo, who might be the best source of goals in this team at the moment.

At a time when Carrick needs results, he's been dealt a rotten hand with injuries, which means we're likely to see De Ligt play his first game for the club since picking up a back injury against Crystal Palace on November 30 last year.
United's defensive options are depleted, although a back four of Dalot, Maguire, De Ligt and Mazraoui is good enough to get a result in Como.
I would stick with the midfield from the last two games, as Baleba and Santos have provided much-needed defensive cover, and Tielemans has been excellent in the more advanced midfield role. Fernandes has looked in need of a rest, and I would rotate him out of the side.
Lacey hasn't kicked a ball since his outstanding goal against Brighton in the Carabao Cup. He is a serious talent and could light this game up.
