Bills' Josh Allen on wild flip-pass touchdown in win over Raiders

Buffalo Bills Josh Allen on wild flip-pass touchdown in win over Las Vegas Raiders.

A business trip to Las Vegas didn't prevent Josh Allen from gambling on Sunday.

The QB made one of the wildest plays of the 2026 NFL season so far, and it paid off.

Buffalo beat the Las Vegas Raiders 33-30 at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday, closing a two-game West Coast trip. Allen threw for 255 yards and two touchdowns along the way, and the club now heads into its bye week at 5-1.

And Allen made a heads up play that's had fans and the media buzzing, flipping the ball to Keon Coleman for a touchdown on a play out of a collapsing pocket.

Facing third-and-8 from the Las Vegas 12-yard line while protecting a 16-13 lead in the third quarter, Allen dropped deep in the pocket, stepped away from pressure and juked a defender. Then he flicked a shovel pass over five Raiders and into the hands of Keon Coleman in the end zone.

The Bills QB described his pass as routinely as any other afterward.

"I was just trying to make a play," Allen said. "They play really good defense. Kind of stepped up in the pocket, felt somebody coming from the left side there, stepped back and again, quick eyes saw our guy open and gave him a chance."

Coleman made the heads up play, continuing his breakout season with his third consecutive game with a touchown.

"I seen him (Allen) flick it like that," Coleman said about the heads up play to secure the score for Buffalo. "I seen him in trouble and trying to make a play."

The 12-yard touchdown was the 258th passing score of Allen's career, tying Jim Kelly for the most in franchise history.

"I saw him, but once it comes out, you kind of get hit and tumble around," Allen said. "He finds himself in the right place at the right time and finds a way to get open."

It was the 258th scoring pass of Allen's career to tie Jim Kelly's franchise record. He saw Coleman before the toss, but wasn't sure whether it was a completion until after getting a hand and picked back up by his lineman.

"Once you hear the crowd go crazy, you go I don't know if it's a touchdown, I don't know if it's an interception," the QB said.

One thing he was certain off, he had confidence in Coleman to flip the ball his way.

"He stepped up extremely, big time," Allen shared with the media postgame. "He's a guy that just continues to work hard. He's putting himself in good spots, and he's making the most of his opportunities, making plays when the ball's coming his way."

Offensive lineman Alec Anderson saw the aftermath from a better angle.

"I look up, and I see Josh doing that like psychotic grin, and I hear everybody screaming, Anderson said. "So I'm like, 'All right, something happened,'"

The Bills get some rest before heading to Baltimore on Sunday, November 1st to face the Ravens.
