Knueppel is coming off a standout rookie season in which he finished runner-up for Kia Rookie of the Year to his former Duke teammate Cooper Flagg, after averaging 18.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists while shooting 42.5% from 3-point range. He also set the NBA record for most 3-pointers made by a rookie and led the league in total 3-pointers (273).

The Hornets selected Knueppel with the No. 4 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
