Moors led at the break only to lose 2-1 as Rob Elliot’s side fought back.
It was a seventh home defeat in eight for Millington’s second-bottom side this season.
And the home manager felt familiar flaws were on display against the Blues.
“It’s tough to explain. There wasn’t a lot in the game,” he said.
“Carlisle, I think, have had three shots on target. They hit the woodwork in the first half with a shot from outside the area, which was a bit of a nothing attempt, really.
“There was a comfortable save for Sam [Johnson] down to his left, and then the other two have ended up in the back of our net.
“The most frustrating thing is I keep sitting down with the chairman [Darryl Eales] at the end of every week, telling them what a good week’s worth of training we’ve had, how bright the lads have been, how much work we’ve done on defending low, our press, defending the box, and we go and concede another two goals.

“One was from a soft cross and another we could have defended the box better.
“I saw it as a very frustrating afternoon.”
Ben Wodskou fired the home side ahead at the end of the first half, only for Morgan Feeney and David Ajiboye to turn the game around for Carlisle.
It left Solihull languishing in 23rd position, seven points from safety after 14 games.
“Ben has scored a worldie, and we have to score a worldie because we ain’t carving teams open, and teams aren’t giving us opportunities,” added Millington in a club interview.
“Yet at the other end we’re allowing crosses into our box, and we’re not defending our box well enough when the ball does get crossed or comes in.
“We’re where we are in the league because that’s what we deserve, and it’s time for the hard luck stories and me rattling on about injuries has gone now.
“We’ve got a fully-fit matchday squad that should be able to compete in the division, but we don’t execute the key moments well enough and today’s another example of that.
“It’s basics. It isn’t complex, tactics, technical ability – it’s just doing your jobs effectively. When we don’t do that teams punish us.”
