Indianapolis Colts' rookie linebacker CJ Allen has been downgraded to out against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 7.

Allen appeared on the injury report on Thursday with an ankle injury and was then a non-participant on Friday. He was originally listed as questionable.

Allen's role as a rookie has been quite small. He has played just 48 defensive snaps as the backup MIKE linebacker behind Akeem Davis-Gaither. Allen has not often been a part of the WILL linebacker rotation.

With Allen out, Germaine Pratt has been elevated from the practice squad to bolster the linebacker depth. Bryce Boettcher is questionable as well.

The Colts also announced that punter Rigoberto Sanchez's questionable designation has been removed. He will be available for Sunday's game.

Sanchez was working through a foot injury he sustained in the Tennessee game on the blocked punt. With Sanchez good to go, the Colts released Thomas Morstead from the practice squad.
