The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 22-6 in Week 6 of the 2026 NFL regular season, advancing their record to 5-0.

With this win under their belt, Kansas City maintained its position as one of the league's last undefeated teams and has positioned itself to secure an AFC West title with a 3-0 record against divisional opponents through five games.

Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes completed 23 of his 30 pass attempts for 272 yards but failed to throw a touchdown pass in the game. He was intercepted once by Chargers defensive back Cam Hart.

Running back Kenneth Walker III was the Chiefs' leading rusher in Week 6, tallying 128 yards on 19 carries and scoring two touchdowns.

Defensively, Kansas City was led by linebackers Nick Bolton and Jack Cochrane, who recorded 11 combined tackles and one interception, respectively. Defensive linemen George Karlaftis, Peter Woods, Chris Jones, and Ashton Gillotte recorded sacks in the rivalry contest, as did veteran safety Chamarri Conner.

Kicker Harrison Butker made three of his four three-point field goal attempts and missed one of his two extra-point tries.

With their perfect record intact, the Chiefs will look ahead to a Week 7 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field in the Emerald City.
