NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith recently revealed what the President of the United States told him during their dinner together.
Stephen A. Smith rose to prominence in his role as an NBA analyst. For years, he covered the sport for newspapers, before getting his big break with ESPN and First Take. In the past decade and a half, he has become arguably the biggest voice in sports media in the US.
Considering how much bigger his platform has now gotten, Stephen A. has lately also been veering into politics. He has a show dedicated to it, and he talks about the country’s various issues quite often. Recently, he was apparently at dinner with President Donald Trump and shared what he was told.
The new season gets underway on Tuesday night!
President Trump is a fairly divisive figure when it comes to American politics, his supporters love him just as much as his detractors despise him. But wherever they may lie on the political spectrum, likely nobody is as sure of their opinion about the man than he is sure about himself.
Supreme confidence is one of the things that has brought him to where he is today. And Smith’s story about a conversation they shared over dinner when he asked him about various party failures showcases that perfectly.
"He said, 'Stephen, do you understand? I'm the greatest president who's ever lived.' He absolutely positively believes he is the greatest president." – Stephen A. Smith on his dinner with Donald Trump pic.twitter.com/deZOI7jtsB

Smith added, “I said, where is it?” According to the ESPN man, Trump responded saying, “You’ll see, wait for it… Stephen, do you understand? I am the greatest president who’s ever lived.” SAS then added, “He absolutely, positively believes he is the greatest president.”
