Britt McHenry, the Trump administration adviser who lost her job after throwing beer at fans during an NBA game on Oct. 21, said the confrontation escalated when she reprimanded a heckler for calling a player’s famous model girlfriend, Winnie Harlow, “hideous” for her vitiligo skin pigmentation.
McHenry said she was told to “shut the fuck up, dumb bitch” by another man and was threatened with “gang rape” by the original instigator.
“I was sticking up for Winnie Harlow, a woman that I admire and many women and young girls look up to, and I was sticking up for myself,” McHenry concluded in a social media video on Wednesday.
In the written intro she confirmed her dismissal from the State Department, and said she believed in standing up to harassment.
This is what truly happened at the Wizards game. I could say a lot more, but I already lost my job for it. I believe in sticking up for another woman, which is what I did, and for yourself when you’re being heckled and harassed. pic.twitter.com/JNnmeVP0ri

The former ESPN and Fox News Media personality said the final straw was when the “main agitator” said she should be sexually assaulted outside.
“That is when I threw the rest of my beer in that direction, turned around, and said, ‘Drew, let’s get out of here,’” she said, referring to her friend who bought the tickets.
She said the “main agitator” was ejected and she left the game.
In the clip shared by TMZ last week, from the Washington Wizards-Milwaukee Bucks game in DC, McHenry picks up the beer and flicks it behind her as others yell, “Whoa.” She then walks away as some of the crowd pelts her with what appear to be towels and other debris. She blows kisses as she walks up the stairs. Later in the footage, McHenry is seen talking to a security guard in the arena lobby. “What did I do?” she asks as he points to the exit. She eventually departs.
McHenry announced her new role in Trump’s State Department in September. But Page Six reported Oct. 23 that she was forced to resign as press adviser after getting a promotion.
McHenry’s account mostly backs up earlier media reports about what supposedly happened.
