Callum Osmand admitted his first Celtic start “felt amazing” after scoring twice in the 7-1 win over Hearts at Celtic Park.
The youngster was one of Martin O’Neill’s bold calls before kick-off, with Kasper Høgh dropping to the bench and Camilo Duran starting through the middle.
Osmand came into the side after making an impact from the bench against Benfica in midweek, and he made the most of his chance.

The forward scored twice in the first half as Celtic blew Hearts away before the break.
His first came after Duran slipped him through, with Osmand keeping his composure to finish. His second came soon after, heading in from close range after Duran kept the move alive.
It was a huge moment for the young attacker, who has had to wait for his chance after injury issues.
Speaking to Sky Sports Scotland after the match, Osmand said: “That was amazing. That’s my first ever start.
“It was a long time coming, but I’m so happy.
“It felt amazing out there.”
Osmand was taken off at half-time with Celtic already 5-1 up, meaning he did not get the chance to chase a hat-trick.
Osmand, though, insisted he felt fine after his 45-minute run-out.
He said: “Yes, I was okay, a little bit tired.
“Obviously, I haven’t played in a long time.
“I’ve only been 45 today, so I’m really happy with where I’m at.
“Obviously, I’ll build that up and hopefully I can play a bit longer, but I’m all good, I felt good.”
That will be good news for Celtic with Celta Vigo coming to Celtic Park on Thursday night.
Osmand also praised Haissem Hassan after the pair were rewarded for their midweek impact with starts against Hearts.
He said: “I always try and give my all every time I play.
“If I can bring something, then I will try and do that.
“Hassan is obviously one of the best 1v1 players I’ve seen in a long time, but obviously that’s what you want to do, coming off the bench or starting.
“You just want to start quick and try and create something.”
The Hoops were ruthless from the start, with Kieran Tierney, Benjamin Nygren, Osmand, Duran and a Jamie McCart own goal all adding to Hearts’ misery.
Now the challenge for Osmand is building up the minutes without breaking the rhythm.
