Nicolò Tresoldi further raised his profile with a spectacular hat-trick against Inter in the most recent UEFA Champions League game, and teams are lining up to try to sign him in January. Roma tried last summer, but their offer was deemed insufficient.

According to Calciomercato, the Giallorossi tendered €35M. Club Brugge held out for more money and will get it. The capital club is out of the running since they pivoted toward Santiago Castro to back up Donyell Malen.

Tresoldi revealed that he’s a massive Milan fan, but the Rossoneri don’t appear too interested in acquiring him. They have made a big splash for Gonçalo Ramos and are content with Francesco Camarda behind him.

The starlet is more likely to end up abroad either in January or at the end of the season. Club Brugge didn’t need to pull the trigger also because they sold Christos Tzolis to Arsenal for €40M. The marksman’s departure will clear such a threshold. He’s estimated to be worth between €54 and €63M. He has bagged nine goals already. Barcelona, Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund, and RB Leipzig tracked him in the past.

The striker currently represents Germany U-21 and will do so until the Euros. Italy are trying to poach him. He stated that he’s undecided about which national team to pick. He would face less competition in Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Our Take on Tresoldi

He was already pretty expensive, but the time for Serie A sides to snap him up was last summer. He’s out of their reach now, which is a shame. It would have been interesting to see whether he would have done better than Ramos for half the cost at Milan.
