Vote for your star man in KentOnline’s team of the week.
Congratulations to forward Ashdon Day, who won last week’s poll with 29 per cent of the vote after his hat-trick for Sutton Athletic in the Southern Counties East League last weekend.
Have a look at today’s XI and pick your favourite at the bottom of the page.
Between the sticks we’ve got Nathan Harness of Tonbridge Angels after his penalty save during their 1-0 win over Hemel Hempstead in National League South on the way to another clean sheet.
Whitstable Town’s improvement continued with an impressive 2-1 win at South Park, who started the day top of Isthmian South East. Defender Mason Hunter gets the nod ahead of many of his team-mates.
Robert Strachan of Cray Wanderers helped them to a clean sheet at Bedford Town. The goalless draw means the Wands take their place in the FA Cup first round draw for the first time in their history this evening.
Maidstone’s Taylor Foran competed well against a physical Maidenhead side and scored the decisive second with clever back-post flick with his back to goal.
In midfield, we’ve got Ollie Bate of Ashford United after he scored a cracking second goal in their 4-1 win at Peacehaven & Telscombe.
Jack Evans scored Faversham Town’s second goal in the 3-0 Swale derby win over Sittingbourne.
Plus Folkestone Invicta’s Reggie Young was involved in each of the goals as Jay Saunders’ side claimed a much-needed 2-1 home win over AFC Totton.
There were plenty of candidates in the forward positions. We’ve included four in the team as well as giving honourable mention to Phoenix Sports’ Jamarie Brissett.
Nathan Jeche scored a hat-trick, including two spot-kicks, in their 3-2 win over Broadbridge Heath to move onto 13 goals for the season.
Fumnaya Shomotun scored twice and made another as Welling United enjoyed a 4-2 victory at home to Burgess Hill.
After netting in midweek, Kwesi Appiah added a brace in Ebbsfleet’s excellent 6-1 win over Weston-super-Mare.
Finally, Decarrey Sheriff deserves his place after scoring twice to fire Dover into the first round of the FA Cup for the first time in seven years as they beat Dorking Wanderers 3-2 at Crabble.
That achievement was also enough to see Dover manager Jake Leberl get our pick as top boss this week.
