Former Spartan star Porter Martone scored a huge goal in the Philadelphia Flyers win on Saturday.
It has been a rough start to the season for the Philadelphia Flyers, who needed 10 games before getting their first win. A big part of that win was former Michigan State hockey star Porter Martone.
Martone netted his second goal of the year in the matchup, while adding an assist on the game winning goal. At just 19 years old, Martone is playing a massive role in the NHL, with a lot of responsibility falling on his shoulders. He is starting to excel in that role.
After getting 10 points in nine regular season games last year, and five points in 10 postseason games, Martone has shown he can score in the NHL and will need to continue to progress as this season moves along.
