The NBA season is just two days away and the Golden State Warriors almost had a massive Stephen Curry scare.
The Golden State Warriors will tip off their 2026-27 NBA season against the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday. There have been questions about the roster and how much they might be able to achieve this year, but the one thing no one can deny is Stephen Curry’s greatness.
Even during preseason, the greatest shooter of all time has looked like he means business. The roster may not be ideal to carry him to a deep playoff run, but any success Golden State may have is dependent upon their ageing talisman. Which is why on Sunday, a lot of fans’ hearts were in their mouths.

Teams are engaging in their final couple of days of practice before the season officially begins. The Warriors held an open session for fans to attend. It quickly led to a concerning development, with a video of Curry walking gingerly off the court went viral.
Fans on social media were speculating about the 38-year-old’s health in the immediate aftermath, but the reports that have since followed will set their minds at ease.
It's a right ankle tweak for Steph Curry and not knee, per team. Positive news for the Warriors. https://t.co/P4vAWce7us

“It’s a right ankle tweak for Steph Curry and not knee, per team. Positive news for the Warriors,” Anthony Slater reported on X. Curry has had issues with his ankle in the past, which makes any injury in that area more concerning for fans than it normally has to be.
Seeing as the superstar is reportedly ‘fine’ despite his discomfort, fans can safely look forward to the coming Wednesday. Curry will need to be at his best to deal with Luka Doncic and his new roster, and it would be shame if he wasn’t at a 100 percent for such an incredible clash.
